Pothina Mahesh, who recently resigned from the Janasena Party, has hinted at joining the ruling YSRCP. Disappointed for not securing the Vijayawada West seat, Mahesh made interesting comments, indicating his inclination towards YSRCP. He expressed his desire to align with a leader who stands firm on their word and showcases bravery, much like a lion. "I will go to the leader who comes alone like a lion," he stated, emphasizing the importance of trustworthiness and reliability in leadership.

Implicitly referring to CM Jagan, Mahesh praised the qualities of leadership that include trust, assurance, and providing security for the future. He mentioned that his close associates and supporters are urging him to join YSRCP, reflecting a collective aspiration towards that direction.

Mahesh criticized the Janasena Party leadership for lacking affection towards their own party flag and seemingly preferring other party flags. He condemned the act of attacking a leader with a group as non-political and mentioned personal attacks within Janasena that led to his decision to seek a "political rebirth" elsewhere. These remarks were made during an interaction with a media house.
