Amaravati: In a recent "Memantha Siddham" meeting, Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy compared opposition leader Chandrababu Naidu to 'Pashupati', a character from the movie Arundhati, suggesting that Chandrababu Naidu's habit is to deceive, much like Pashupati.

However, these comments were brought to the attention of the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Mukesh Kumar Meena by TDP Politburo member Varla Ramaiah. Ramaiah filed a complaint alleging that CM Jagan's inappropriate remarks constitute a violation of the electoral code.

Responding to the complaint, CEO Mukesh Kumar Meena issued notices to CM Jagan. The notices demand an explanation within 48 hours, indicating that CM Jagan's comments are preliminarily considered a violation of the electoral code. Mukesh Kumar Meena warned that the Election Commission (EC) would take appropriate actions if CM Jagan fails to respond in time.
