Hyderabad: In a significant development related to the Delhi liquor scam, Enforcement Directorate (ED) officials are conducting raids at the residence of MLC Kavitha in Banjara Hills, Hyderabad. According to the sources, about ten ED officials from Delhi have been carrying out the searches for nearly an hour, gathering details on financial transactions conducted over the past ten years. The raids are being led by the Joint Director of the ED.
Alongside Kavitha, the mobile phones of her associates have also been seized by the officials. In light of the raids, a large contingent of police has been deployed around Kavitha's house.
The searches are expected to continue for another three to four hours, and ED officials have not allowed anyone into Kavitha's residence during this operation. The sudden raids at Kavitha's home have reportedly taken the BRS ranks by surprise.
