Senior Actress and Former BJP MP Jayaprada Surrenders in Rampur Court

Senior film actress and former BJP MP Jayaprada surrendered in a Rampur court in Uttar Pradesh. She was accused of violating the election code during the last elections, leading to two cases being registered against her. However, she did not appear for the trial of these cases.
Despite the court issuing several notices and non-bailable warrants against her, there was no response from her side. Consequently, on February 27, another non-bailable warrant under CRPC 82 was issued by the MP/MLA court in Rampur, ordering the police to arrest her immediately wherever she was found.
The court declared Jayaprada as absconding. Against this backdrop, Jayaprada surrendered in court.
