SV Satish Kumar Reddy, who was defeated by CM Jagan in the previous elections in the Pulivendula constituency, has joined the YSRCP today. The joining ceremony took place at the Tadepalli camp office in the presence of CM Jagan, where Satish Kumar Reddy was formally inducted into the YSRCP. CM Jagan welcomed him to the party and draped the party's scarf around him, urging him to work diligently for the party. MP Avinash Reddy also attended the event.

Satish Kumar Reddy, who contested against CM Jagan as a TDP candidate in the 2014 and 2019 elections in Pulivendula, faced defeat. Previously, in 2004 and 2009, he was defeated by the late YSR.

In 2011, he was elected as an MLC representing the TDP and also served as the Deputy Chairman of the Legislative Council. He resigned from the TDP in 2020.
