Hyderabad: Dastagiri, a former driver turned approver in the murder case of ex-MP YS Vivekananda Reddy, has sought refuge with the Telangana government, claiming a threat to his life from the Andhra Pradesh government. He accused the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) of intimidating him for becoming an approver in the Vivekananda Reddy murder case.

He has requested security from the Telangana Chief Minister, stating that his life is in danger due to the Andhra Pradesh government. This plea comes against the backdrop of the Supreme Court's orders to conduct the investigation of the Vivekananda Reddy murder case in Telangana courts.

Addressing other cases, Dastagiri clarified that he has not kidnapped anyone. After being granted bail, Dastagiri was implicated in a kidnapping and assault case involving a couple. He has recently been released from Kadapa jail after obtaining bail in these two cases.
