CM Revanth Reddy Alleges Intentional Power Cuts to Defame Congress Government

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has stated that they have received information suggesting that certain field-level electricity department personnel, appointed during the previous government's tenure, are deliberately causing power cuts to tarnish the reputation of the Congress government. He warned that strict actions will be taken against such overly enthusiastic staff.
Excluding technical glitches and natural causes, if the power supply is halted without a valid reason, the responsible officials and staff must be prepared to face consequences, he clarified.
CM Revanth Reddy assured that the power supply is being maintained according to the current demand in the state and there are no deliberate cuts being made. He mentioned that the power supply has increased compared to the past but criticized some for spreading false propaganda about power cuts. He emphasized that it is the responsibility of the electricity department officials to counter such misinformation.
He instructed that prior information should be provided to the respective areas if power needs to be cut off for maintenance. If the power supply is halted for more than five minutes in any area, the reasons must be reviewed, he added.
