Telangana BJP MLAs have announced a boycott of the Assembly sessions. This decision was revealed after a crucial meeting with the party's state president, Kishan Reddy. The BJP has expressed objections to the appointment of Akbaruddin Owaisi as the pro tem Speaker. Raja Singh, the MLA from Goshamahal, declared that they would refuse to take the oath of office if Owaisi serves as the pro tem Speaker. The BJP MLAs made this decision following Chief Minister Revanth Reddy's selection of MIM MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi for the pro tem Speaker position and the administering of his oath.

Previously, eight party MLAs met with Kishan Reddy on Saturday morning. Following the meeting, they collectively visited the Bhagyalakshmi temple near Charminar to perform special prayers. They then convened at the party office. It is understood that the Assembly sessions, oath-taking ceremony, and the issue of Akbaruddin Owaisi's selection as the pro tem Speaker were among the topics of discussion. They also deliberated on electing the BJP legislative party leader. Party circles are considering the names of Raja Singh, Eatala Maheshwar Reddy, and Venkataramana Reddy as contenders for the BJP floor leader position.
