Karthi’s spy thriller ‘Sardar' is a racy entertainer; to regale film buffs with dual role
Hyderabad: Tamil actor Karthi was basking in the success of Maniratnam’s magnum opus 'Ponniyan Selvan 1', which was released a few weeks ago, was not only a big hit, but Karthi's role also got good reviews. That movie is still running successfully in theaters.
Meanwhile, Karthi is coming up with another movie 'Sardar'. It is a spy thriller directed by PS Mitran. This movie is releasing on October 21 i.e; this Friday. This movie is releasing simultaneously in Telugu and Tamil languages.
With Karthi's previous films doing well, this film got a good craze. Apart from that, it is said that the business has been good as Karthi is acting in a dual role. Telugu theatrical rights were sold for RS 8 crore while Hindi dubbing rights were sold for Rs 11 crore.
Meanwhile, it is learnt that the satellite and OTT rights of this movie have also done very good business. Interestingly, since the film earned a lot of revenue before its release, all the money that comes after its release will be considered as profit.
