Vijayashanthi: Development works come to standstill across Telangana

Hyderabad: BJP leader Vijayashanthi stated that contractors are not coming forward to undertake development works in Telangana due to the severe delay in the payment of bills. The contractor, who completed the work in the Suryapet district, was waiting for the clearance of Rs 50 crore. She posted on social media that the situation is the same across the State.

She said in the post, ''When the State government starts any work, the contractors make a bee line to grab the contract. But the situation in the Suryapet district is completely opposite. Contractors are not coming forward to do the work as the KCR government is negligent in paying the bills. Even tenders are not being floated for new works as the bills worth crores of rupees are pending.”

“The officers are promising to see that the bills will be cleared quickly, but the contractors are not showing interest. About Rs 50 crore is due for the works completed so far in the Suryapet district. As a result, the contractors are insisting that they will start new works only if all the pending bills are cleared,” she pointed out.

Due to this, many development works are pending across the district. It is not limited to the Suryapet district alone. The situation is the same across the state. What KCR... is this the Golden Telangana you said? She questioned. Release their pending bill immediately. Vijayashanthi stated that soon the people will teach a befitting lesson to the KCR government, which is destroying Telangana.
