Saif's Lankesh look in Adipurush: Our Ravan in today’s time is demonic, says Om Raut

Hyderabad: Fans and audience waited with bated breath for the teaser launch of Om Raut’s magnum opus ‘Adipurush’. Finally, the teaser was unveiled on October 2 at Ayodhya, the birthplace of Lord Ram. But after watching the teaser the film was trolled massively for the cast look and graphics.

The movie 'Adipurush' starring Prabhas as Lord Ram, Kriti Sanon as Sita and Saif Ali Khan as demon king Ravan was directed by Om Raut. The film will release worldwide on January 12 next year. In this backdrop, the makers released the teaser on October 2 in Ayodhya. Since the release of this teaser, many people have started trolling 'Adipurush'. Ravanasura's look has been compared to Khilji. In this context, director Om Raut responded to the criticism.

Om Raut said, “Our Ravan in today’s time is demonic. Ravana behaved cruelly and abducted Sita. We are showing what Ravana looks like today. 'Adipurush' is not a project for us, but it is a mission. Therefore, everyone should offer their blessings. I am taking into account everyone's opinions regarding the film. You won't be disappointed when you watch the movie on the big screen."

In the teaser released by the team, the looks of Rama and Ravanasura failed to impress the audience. Visual effects fail to mesmerise. So, netizens started trolling the movie. With this, the movie team started efforts to block the trolls. The 3D teaser has been shown to the audience for free. The film team said that 'Adi Purush' has been produced for theatres. Not designed for mobile phones
