CM Jagan visit: Kuppam totally sealed-off
Chittoor, September 23: Police have totally sealed-off Kuppam city as this is the maiden visit of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy after becoming the Chief Minister. Jagan will launch third phase of YSR Cheyutha scheme today in Kuppam.
In this context, as many as 2,500 police personnel were deployed in the city. A trial run of the CM’s convoy was conducted on Thursday. Commuters faced problems as barricades were set up by digging in the middle of the road from helipad to the public meeting venue.
YSRCP leaders have erected banners and flexis for a stretch of about four km from helipad. They arranged private buses to transport people to the CM’s public meeting. Holidays were declared to all private schools in Kuppam on Thursday and Friday.
Meanwhile, traders lamented that there was no business for two days as several roads were closed in the wake of the CM visit. Locals are questioning as to who will fill the pits in the middle of the roads.
