YSRCP calls for Kuppam bandh, cadre warns to obstruct Chandrababu tour
Chittoor, August 25: The YSRCP gave bandh call in Kuppam protesting the TDP activists attack on YSRCP leader’s house with stones on Wednesday. They warned to obstruct second day Kuppam tour of TDP chief N. Chandrababu Naidu.
All private educational institutions declared holiday for students and RTC buses were confined to depots. Passengers are facing difficulties with stoppage of buses. Barricades were set up at several places in Kuppam town to avoid untoward incidents.
The TDP leaders and workers in large number are reaching Kuppam to make success of Chandrababu’s tour. Meanwhile, the YSRCP is getting ready to organise a protest rally in Ramakuppam. Messages to the YSRCP functionaries were sent through WhatsApp asking them to participate in the rally.
Chittoor SP Y. Rishanth Reddy beefed up security in Kuppam and Ramakuppam by deploying additional forces after the clash broke between the TDP and YSRCP at Kollupalle village of Ramakuppam mandal on Wednesday.
