Decision on resignation after touring Munugode constituency: MLA Komatireddy Rajgopal

Hyderabad, July 30: As his entry into BJP almost certain, Telangana Congress MLA Komatireddy Rajgopal Reddy on Saturday made it clear that he would take a decision on tendering resignation to MLA post only after touring Munugode Assembly constituency in the next 15 days.

Talking to reporters, Rajgopal criticised the TRS government for neglecting his constituency in the last three-and-a-half years despite raising several issues in the Legislative Assembly. “State government declared Gattupalli as mandal recently expecting by-election to Munugode with his resignation,” he mentioned.

The MLA described Munugode by-election fight between the KCR government and people of Telangana. The political analysts are of the view that Rajgopal wants to know the people’s opinion by touring his constituency regarding his resignation to MLA post.

Meanwhile, Congress MP Rahul Gandhi entrusted the task to MP N. Uttam Kumar Reddy and Congress leader Vamshi Chand Reddy to meet Rajgopal and dissuade him from leaving Congress.
