New Delhi: Firing has created chaos in the heart of the national capital. A 36-year-old man was sitting in front of a roadside shop when a boy shot him in the face and fled, police said. Four minors have been arrested in connection with this incident. It was revealed that the firing took place in Delhi's Jahangirpuri area around 5.15 pm on Friday.

The police rushed to the spot and shifted the injured man identified as Javed to the local hospital. A senior police officer said that he was shifted to another hospital for better treatment. The police said that the right eye of the victim was severely injured. The CCTV footage of the incident is doing the rounds on social media.

According to the details given by the victim, Javed, he was sitting in front of a shop near the park at around 4.45 pm on Friday. Three minor boys came there. One of the boys took out a gun and shot him in the face. Deputy Commissioner Usha Rangnani said that the four fled from there immediately. At present, the condition of the victim is said to be stable. A case of attempted murder has been registered at Jahangirpuri police station and four boys have been arrested.

The police recovered the gun from them. During the police investigation, it was learned that the father of one of the accused was beaten by the victim seven months ago. Enraged by this, the boy, along with his friends, planned to kill him. As part of that, he fired with a gun, police said.
