Disney apologises to Johnny Depp, offers Rs  2,355 cr to act in Caribbean franchise

Hyderabad:  Hollywood star Johnny Depp became world-famous with his movie 'Pirates of the Caribbean'. It is learnt that while his career was going great guns, his wife Amber Heard got into a quarrel, filed for a divorce, and then went to court leveling allegations against him. Johnny eventually won the case. However, at the time of Amber's allegations, big production companies such as Disney in Hollywood refused to do films with Johnny Depp.

Now Depp has been acquitted in court and now they are getting ready to work with him yet again. Earlier, it was reported that Disney had sent him an apology letter. In addition, Disney reportedly offered Rs 2,355 crore ($ 301 million) to star in the Caribbean franchise. Johnny plays Jack Sparrow in five parts of The Pirates of the Caribbean. And will Johnny forgive them? Is he in the next part? Or not? It remains to be seen.

Johnny Depp was married in 2015 to Amber Heard. However, she was officially divorced in 2017 after a year due to incompatibility. The two then levelled serious allegations against each other. Amber wrote a sexual violence article in 2018 and Depp filed a defamatory suit in February 2019 alleging damage to his reputation and seeking $50 million in damages. In response, the Amber counter-claimed $100 million for domestic violence in August 2020. After hearing arguments from both sides, the court gave the verdict in Johnny's favour.
