BJP candidate will lose deposit in Atmakur by-poll: Roja
Nellore, June 20: Tourism Minister R.K. Roja and Denduluru MLA Abbaya Chowdary campaigned for the YSRCP candidate in five panchayats of Chejerla mandal. Mekapati Vikram Reddy is contesting on the YSRCP symbol in Atmakur by-poll. With the sudden demise of sitting MLA Mekapati Goutham, Atmakur Assembly constituency going for by-election.
Talking to a reporter, Roja flayed the BJP leaders for saying that the YSRCP is scared of by-election. “BJP candidate will be losing deposit in by-election and YSRCP will get at least one lakh majority,” she stated.
The minister mentioned that the BJP fielded its leader of another constituency in Atmakur as they don’t have a strong leader. “Voters of Atmakur have already taken decision to vote for the YSRCP in by-election,” she said.
To a question, Roja enlisted various social welfare schemes implemented by the YSRCP government. “No BJP-ruled state is providing schemes to eligible beneficiaries like Andhra Pradesh,” she added.
