Perni Nani hits back at Nadda, says Modi govt increased India’s debt to Rs 130 lakh crore

Amaravati, June 8: Responding to remarks of BJP national president J.P. Nadda over debt of Andhra Pradesh in Godavari Garjana public meeting in Rajahmundry, former minister and YSRCP MLA Perni Nani said that the BJP-led Modi government has increased India’s debt from Rs 50 lakh crore to Rs 130 lakh crore in the last eight years.

The YSRCP leader faulted Nadda for not speaking about Polavaram Project while addressing a meeting in East Godavari district. “Why the Central government did not clear pending bills pertaining to Polavaram,” he asked. He slammed the BJP government at Centre for threatening Opposition parties by registering CBI, ED and IT cases.

Nani mentioned that the Centre had allotted Rs 230 crore to Andhra Pradesh for Ayushman Bharat scheme while the AP government is spending Rs 2,300 crore annually towards Aarogyasri health scheme. “No poor man in the state will get treatment in corporate hospitals with the funds sanctioned by the Centre,” he flayed.
