Modi govt failed to provide industrial incentives to Telangana, AP: KTR

Hyderabad, June 6: Addressing the industry delegates after launching the annual report 2021-22 of Industries Department here on Monday, Minister for IT and Industries K. Taraka Rama Rao, popularly called as KTR, said that the Modi government had failed to honour bifurcation promise of providing industrial incentives to Telangana and Andhra Pradesh states even after eight years. 
 
KTR stated that the Telangana government had requested the BJP-led Central government to accord permission for creation of six industrial corridors. “There was no response from the Centre,” he slammed and added that they are asking for the welfare of the people.

The minister advised the PM not to link development to politics. “Modi should not forget that country’s progress depends on development of states. He mentioned that the TSIIC developed 13 new industrial parks and allotted 810 acres to 526 industries in 2021-22 financial year. Principal Secretary (Industries) Jayesh Ranjan, officials, representatives and heads from industry associations were present.
