Hyd: FIR registered against R. Krishnaiah, his daughter and four others

Hyderabad, June 3: Based on the complaint of one Ravindra Reddy, Raidurgam police registered FIR against National Backward Classes Welfare Association President R. Krishnaiah, his daughter and four others on Friday under various sections.
 
The complainant alleged that Krishnaiah’s followers threatened him by using the name of slain gangster Nayeem regarding a land and forcibly tried to take signatures on stamp papers from him. Ravindra accused Krishnaiah of demanding money for the property sold by his daughter six years ago. In support of his allegations, he handed over CCTV footage to the police.
 
However, Krishnaiah did not respond on the issue till now. Recently, the Andhra Pradesh government nominated Krishnaiah to the Rajya Sabha. Krishnaiah becoming member of the Upper House is confirmed. He is a prominent BC leader and has been demanding successive Central governments to provide OBC quota in Lok Sabha and state Assemblies taking their population into consideration.
