CM KCR lays stone for three TIMS hospitals in Hyd

Hyderabad, April 26: Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao on Tuesday performed bhoomi puja to government-run Telangana Institute of Medical Sciences (TIMS) at Gaddiannaram, Alwal and Erragadda. The TRS government allotted Rs 900 crore for TIMS at Gaddiannaram, Rs 897 crore for Alwal TIMS and Rs 882 crore for Erragadda TIMS.   
 
Each TIMS hospital with 1,000 beds would be constructed in an area of 13.71 lakh square feet. The state government allotted 28.41 acres to Alwal TIMS, 21.36 acres to TIMS at Gaddiannaram and 17 acres to Erragadda TIMS.
 
Patients coming from Sangareddy, Siddipet and Adilabad districts can avail medical services at Alwal TIMS, Gaddiannaram TIMS will cater to medical needs of patients arriving from Khammam, Nalgonda and Suryapet districts and Erragadda TIMS will provide services to patients of nearby districts. Nursing and paramedical colleges would also come up on the premises of each TIMS. Ministers Harish Rao, Sabitha Indra Reddy, and Prashanth Reddy, MPs, MLAs and officials were present.
