Oppn, a section of media try to scuttle down welfare schemes: CM Jagan

Addressing a public meeting on Friday after releasing the funds related to third instalment of zero interest scheme to Self-Help Groups (SHGs) in Ongole, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy slammed TDP national president N. Chandrababu Naidu, Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan, and a section of media for trying to scuttle down social welfare schemes being implemented by his government. “They are unable to digest people being happy with the benefits of welfare schemes,” he stated.
 
The CM throw a challenge to Chandrababu, Pawan Kalyan and select newspapers and news channels to explain as to how Andhra Pradesh will face financial crisis like Sri Lanka if funds are directly credited into the accounts of beneficiaries. “So far, the YSRCP government has spent Rs 1,36,694 crore towards various welfare schemes in the last 35 months,” he mentioned. Earlier, former minister Balineni Srinivasa Reddy, SHG women, officials and others spoke.
