Guntur: Suspicious death of AC mechanic in villa

Guntur, April 18: An AC mechanic found dead under suspicious circumstances in a villa in Mangalagiri of Guntur district. It was told that the villa belongs to a people’s representative and a few of his followers were residing in the villa. 
 
According to police, Shaik Mohammad (20) of Tipparla Bazaar of Mangalagiri, along with another mechanic Shafullah, on Saturday went to the villa for doing repair works. After some time, he went to the rooftop and didn’t return. Shafullah and others went upstairs and found him lying unconscious. He was rushed to NRI Hospital in Chinakakani, where doctors announced that he was brought dead.
 
The cops are not disclosing reasons for the death of Shaik Mohammad. Moreover, people residing in the villa also disappeared. The deceased used to live with his mother and grandmother, Shaik Kamurunnisa. The grandmother filed a complaint with Mangalagiri rural police expressing doubts on grandson’s death. She said, “First, they said that Shaik went upstairs to speak over mobile and fell unconscious. They called again immediately and told that he was dead. There are injuries on one of his hands and legs.”
 
North sub-division DSP Rambabu said that they shifted the unconscious Mohammad to hospital and doctors said that he was dead already. He might have died due to short circuit or current shock, he said and added that they are investigating the case following a complaint of the grandmother of the deceased.
