Offer on pending challans concludes today
Hyderabad, April 15: As the traffic challan discount offered by the Telangana government will end on Friday (April 15), traffic police asked the public to pay their pending challans, if any, immediately.
The government gave heavy discount to vehicle owners to clear their pending challans from March 1 to 31. However, due to heavy rush of vehicle owners to avail the scheme, and also due to technical issues, the last date was extended to April 15. 75% discount on the fine was given to two-wheeler and three-wheelers. While 50% discount was given to light and heavy motor vehicles.
With this unique offer, the Telangana government got more than Rs 250 crore revenue. The traffic police requested the people to avail the discount offer and save their money. They informed that from Saturday onwards, the fine will be normal on the traffic rules violators.
