Tammineni terms Jagan a humanitarian, says Cabinet reshuffle a Herculean task

Amaravati: Reacting to the Jagan’s Cabinet rejig, Assembly Speaker Tammineni Sitaram maintained that he was not at fault for expecting the Cabinet berth. Tammineni, however, made it clear that he never wanted to be a problem to Chief Minister Jagan, recalling an incident he said that Jagan had been having some trouble in the past in asking him to take up the Speaker's post, but he came forward and took up the Speaker's post. Hence, "I am ready to do whatever Jagan orders," he said clearing the air in the wake of dissidence in the party over the Cabinet reshuffle.

He said the Chief Minister would have some equations in the composition of the Cabinet and he could understand the situation. Jagan was a humanitarian and lauded the fact that 70 per cent BCs, SCs, STs and minorities were inducted into the new Cabinet.

He claimed that social justice had been done in the Cabinet reshuffle. He said everyone had equal opportunities. He commented that Cabinet's reshuffle was not an easy task. Tammineni lauded the BCs in the state for moving away from the TDP, but said that CM Jagan had fulfilled his commitment by handing over the power to the BCs in the state.
