Senior Tollywood actor Mannava Balayya passed away on his birthday

Actor Mannava Balayya, who played variety of roles in more than 300 Telugu films, has breathed his last at the age of 92 in his residence at Yousufguda in Hyderabad on Saturday morning. According to his relatives, he passed away on the day of his birthday. 
 
Apart from acting, Balayya directed movies such as Pasupu Tadu, Nijam Chebithe Nerama, and Police Alludu and also worked as a script writer. He had jointly produced films with megastar Chiranjeevi and veteran actor Krishna. Some of his movies as producer are Annadammula Katha, Eenati Bandam Yenatido, and Prema Paga.
 
The actor received Nandi Awards for Chelleli Kapuram as Best Producer and Best Dialogue Writer for Oorikichina Mata movie. His acting in Annamayya, Pelli Sandadi, Manmadhudu, Malliswari, Sri Rama Rajyam, Veedhi, and Pandurangadu movies have won the hearts of audience. Several Tollywood personalities have condoled the death of senior actor. A pall of gloom descended on Telugu film industry after hearing the news of Balayya’s death.
