YSRCP’s misrule led to power cuts in AP: Chandrababu

Andhra Pradesh has plunged into darkness with power cuts because of YSRCP’s misrule, said former chief minister and TDP national president N Chandrababu Naidu in a Twitter post on Thursday. He also attached a video to his tweet in which pregnant women faced difficulties with power outages in a maternity hospital.

The TDP chief asked as to who is responsible for the power crisis in the state. He slammed the ruling state government for making people in villages to suffer with unauthorised power cuts. “The CM wasted Rs 233 crore by organising a felicitation programme to village/ward volunteers in Narasaraopet,” he criticised.

Why power outages even though people are paying hiked power charges, Chandrababu asked the YSRCP government. He advised the AP government to provide uninterrupted power supply instead of threatening people, who have questioned power cuts. He recalled that the state had electricity in surplus when the TDP was in power from 2014 to 2019.
