KTR asks AICC leader to apologize

Hyderabad, May.1: Former Union Minister Digvijaya Singh’s comments have kicked up a controversy and creating flutter for stating that Telangana Police created a bogus ISIS website to provoke youth to become ISIS modules.

Singh took the platform of a twitter by seeking to know whether Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao was behind it and sought the Chief Minister to resign and conduct an inquiry if he did not give such powers to police for such a website to provoke Muslim youth.

Responding to it, IT Minister KT Rama Rao demanded Digvijaya Singh to withdraw his words and tender unconditional apology or AICC Vice President Rahul Gandhi should control the former union minister. KTR, who is in Delhi responded strongly and rebutted Digvijaya Singh for his “irresponsible” comments.

Talking to the media after meeting with several Union ministers, KTR slammed the Congress leader for making “irresponsible” comments. Rahul Gandhi should keep a tab on Digvijaya Singh for making derogatory remarks against the Telangana police and belittling their morale, he said.

Though Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh has appreciated Telangana police as ideal to other States, Digvijaya Singh, who was former Union Minister and was also a chief minister was making “callous” comments, he thundered. “If Rahul could not control Singh, we have to consider that the Congress is behind this entire episode of mud-slinging on Telangana government and belittling its police forces”, he said. KTR also said Singh also made similar ruthless comments against soldiers and police personnel, who constantly work for the nation.

In a related development, Telangana DGP Anurag Sharma condemned Digvijaya Singh’s comments. Sharma said the unfounded allegations from a senior responsible leader will lower the morale and image of Police engaged in fighting anti-national forces.
