Stalin visits Apollo Hospitals to enquire about Jayalalithaa

Chennai, Oct 8: DMK leader M.K.Stalin on Saturday visited Apollo Hospital to enquire about Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J.Jayalalithaa's health condition. Speaking to reporters later, Stalin said: "DMK President M.Karunanidhi had ordered us to visit Apollo Hospitals. He had asked us to enquire about Jayalalithaa's health with the doctors and Tamil Nadu ministers." He said that while he was not able to meet Jayalalithaa, the doctors and state ministers like Finance Minister O.Panneerselvam and others briefed him about her health. Stalin wished Jayalalithaa a speedy recovery on behalf of Karunanidhi and the DMK party. The 68-year old Jayalalithaa was admitted to Apollo Hospital here last month for fever and dehydration. The Apollo Hospitals later said she needs a longer stay at the hospital as she is suffering from infection and is on respiratory support.
