Congress leader alleges Babu-Jaitley conspiracy to thwart KVP Bill

Congress leader C. Ramachandraiah alleged on Saturday that there was a conspiracy by Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley to scotch the Private Member Bill of KVP Ramachandra Rao. That is why, although he did not allow voting on the KVP Bill, the Deputy Chairman of the Rajya Sabha, PJ Kurien, had referred the matter to the Speaker of Lok Sabha. Referring to Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu's hullabaloo over the Krishna pushkarams, the Congress leader said Babu was taking as if it was his family function. He claimed none of the other Krishna riverine States was making such tamasha. On the one hand, the TDP government was demolishing temples in Vijayawada in the name of development, and on the other the Chief Minister was making the pushkarams the greatest event when the State should have been striving for the SCS status.
