Actor Shivaji threatens suicide if SCS is denied for AP

Tollywood actor and Special category Status Achieving Committee president Shivaji on Tuesday warned Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and Union Information Minister Venkaiah Naidu not to play with the strong sentiments of the Andhras on the SCS and get it by hook or crook without compromise such as Special Package and so on. He told them if there was any compromise on the 2-year-old demand, he would commit suicide in front of the Chief Minister's residence. In a strong language before the media, Shivaji asked them if they wanted to go down in history as heroes or villains. `Decide it for yourself,' he told them. He asked them, `Why are you playing games with the Andhras? The capital region farmers had given you 33,000 acres of land for capital construction. What have you done with it, bar sharing the farmers' fertile land among yourselves? What kind of rule is going on in the State?' `Now the Information and Broadcasting portfolio has been given to Venkaiah Naidu. We do not know what kind of vicious trick he will play on the Andhras after increasing the SCS from 5 to 10 years and then acting innocent, saying there was no such provision in the Constitution to give SCS to AP. He was sure the curse of future generations of the Andhras would tell on both the Naidus. Shivaji pointed out that the Central leaders were in their respective way asking a funny question, `Is Andhra Pradesh united? Nincompoops, you are the ones to divide Andhra Pradesh. None of you has any right to play games with Andhra Pradesh. You are not human. `How dare you undermine Special Category Status to AP? In that case, why did you declare the SCS in the first place? Why did you increase the SCS from 5 to 10 years? When you made the promises, were you eating grass?'
