Muslim sisters break glass ceiling on Id at Aishbaug

This is a special Ramzan Id for Muslim women in the country as their sisters in Lucknow on Id day said their prayers along with menfolk at Aishbaug Idgah in the UP capital. Bhumata Brigade founder Trupti Desai was satisfied that the women were allowed into Idgah to say their prayers. She described it as a historic gender success and a sea-change. Trupti said the Idgah elders had taken a broadminded decision to allow women to say their prayers. She hoped the Mullahs all over the country would take the Aishbaug Idgah decision as an ideal and implement it all the Idgahs. She particularly thanked the Idgah elders for their big-heartedness. Trupti said the Bhumata Brigade would continue to strive for gender justice all over the country.
