Telangana varsities to have VCs by July 31: Kadiam

Referring to reports in the media on the delay in the appointment of Vice-Chancellors for various universities in Telangana, Deputy Chief Minister in-charge of education Kadiam Srihari said on Wednesday that by July 31, every varsity would get a Vice-Chancellor. He added an executive committee would decide on the faculty and staff needed to be appointed. The Education minister said the search committee was winding up the process on the appointment of Vice-Chancellors and steps were being taken to strengthen the varsities with full faculty, facilities and infrastructure. The Joint Action Committee under Prof Kodandaram the other day brought into focus the crises the univrsities in Telangana were going through in the absence of Vice-Chancellors. Almost immediately the Education Minister responded.
