Ponnam dares Bar to agitate against TRS for solution

Alleging that the Telangana Bar Association was hand in glove with the ruling TRS, former MP Ponnam Prabhakar dared the bar to launch a `Chalo Secretariat, Chalo Camp Office, Chalo TRS Office' agitations to demand the split of the Andhra Pradesh High Court. Blaming the Centre, Andhra Pradesh, TDP and the Congress for the status quo in the High Court won't do, he said. What did the TRS government do for a split of the High Court, Prabhakar questioned. Instead of shifting the blame on the others, the TRS government should lead an all-party delegation to New Delhi for finding a solution to the lawyers' problem. The former MP alleged that the whole problem arose because of the KCR government's not taking interest in the lawyers' problems. As a result, the lawyers had to take to the streets. Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao should have spoken to his Andhra counterpart, Chandrababu Naidu, and got the High Court split. Prabhakar noted in this connection that KCR had vowed to launch a fasting programme in Delhi for the split of the High Court. If so, he should do it and return to Telangana only after securing the lawyers' demands.
