Health Minister concerned at Mudragada condition

Health Minister Kamineni Srinivas on Wednesday expressed concern over the deteriorating health condition of fasting Kapu leader Mudragada Padmanabham. Talking to the media, Srinivas said the condition of Mudragada's wife and daughter-in-law, who were also fasting, was deteriorating. He said the government was ready to offer emergency medicine to the fasting leader and his family members. For conducting necessary medical tests and give treatment, the government had kept a team of medical experts from Kakinada ready. However, Mudragada was refusing to accept medical help of any kind, he added. Mudragada had gone on a fast-unto-death demanding the release of Kapu leaders who were arrested in connection with the Tuni arson incidents. The fasting leader was lodged in the Rajahmundry Government Hospital where he was continuing to fast.
