Virat Kohli eighth top sportsman in the world

India's Virat Kohli has been ranked eighth among the 100 top sportsmen of the world by sports media channel ESPN. The list is headed by footballer Christiano Ronaldo of Portugal. Two other Indians figure in the list: Mahendra Singh Dhoni stands 14th in the list and Tennis Star Sania Mirza holds 41st position. There are 92 men and eight women in the list. The distinction of Virat Kohli is that he beats Spanish Grand Slam Champ Rafael Nadal in the list. Dhoni still has name as one of the greatest finishers of cricket, and is rated highly by cricket legend Sunil Gavaskar who believes Dhoni is still the best wicket-keeper in India. ESPN's top 20 sportsmen are Cristiano Ronaldo, LeBron James, Lionel Messi, Neymar, Federer, Kevin Durant, Tiger Woods, Virat Kohli (8th), James Rodriguez, Rafael Nadal, Kobe Bryant, Gareth Bale, Phil Mickelson, Mahendra Singh Dhoni (14th), Usain Bolt, Novak Djokovic, Wayne Rooney, Maria Sharapova, Mesut Ozil and Rory McIlroy (20th).
