T.G. Venkatesh happy at being nominated to Rajya Sabha

T.G. Venkatesh, who made a belated effort but secured TDP's Rajya Sabha nomination, is all praise for the ruling party in Andhra Pradesh. He acknowledged that he had got TDP nomination because of the co-operation by all party leaders, particularly young Nara Lokesh, TDP Chief General Secretary. Venkatesh, former Congress minister, said the TDP was implementing developmental policies in the State. While remaining loyal to the party, he would co-operate in the development of the State. He said the TDP was implementing policies for the welfare of the Backward Classes and the Dalits. He hoped the TDP policies would result in faster development of the State. The TDP could bag three Rajya Sabha seats on the basis of its strength in the assembly. One seat has been allotted to Union Minister Srujana Chowdary, second to Venkatesh and the third to BJP's Suresh Prabhu.
