Police cracks death mystery of TCS software engineer

Hyderabad, May 25: The Hyderabad police have cracked the mystery behind the murder of a software engineer Hashmi of Gadwal town. According to the police, one Naresh Kumar Reddy, who resides beside Hashmi’s rented house, murdered Hashmi. The police detained Naresh Kumar Reddy and are questioning him. Police said Hashmi was from Gadwal town of Mahbubnagar district had been working as software engineer in the TCS. He was living at Balkampet in a rented room. Naresh Kumar Reddy, who is an electrician and lives nearby befriended Hashmi and asked the latter to give some money as loan. On May 23, Naresh Kumar Reddy took Hashmi away saying he wanted to talk to him. When they reached Lingampally Railway Station bridge through Botanical Garden area, Naresh forced Hashmi to give money. When Hashmi said he has no money, an enraged Naresh Kumar Reddy attacked Hashmi with a granite stone. After confirming Hashmi was no more, the accused took Rs 10,000 and a mobile phone and escaped from the scene. The family members of the deceased lodged a complaint with the Gachchibowli police. The police identified the accused through cellphone signals and nabbed him. Naresh Kumar Reddy confessed to his crime and led the police to the scene of offence and showed the body.
