FIR filed against Bajrang Dal for fiery pictures at Ayodhya camp

Bajrang Dal, the Hindu outfit formed with the mottos of Self-Defence, Service and Social development, has been slapped with the charge that it is spreading communalism by display of pictures of its camp in Ayodhya recently. Unlike the Rashtriya Swayam Sevak Sangh which goes no further than lathis, the Bajrang Dal activists at the Ayodhya camp were holding muskets and swords. This is perhaps for the first time that a Hindu outfit has taken up a weapon like musket. The weapons display has caused a scare in the administration in UP, which is going to witness assembly elections next year. The administration filed an FIR against the Bajrang Dal camp organisers under Section 153 A of the Indian Penal Code. The camp organisers have put forward the argument that the weapons are for self-defence. What is wrong in self-defence? If you cannot protect yourself, how can you protect your people, your nation, they questioned. The pictures of the youth holidng muskets has gone viraL. The pictures suggest that it was initiation by fire for the Bajrang Dal activists.
