3000 sunstroke deaths in AP in 3 years: Sujana

The Centre has announed that in the past 4 years over 4000 people have died due to sunstroke in the country. This year, upto March, 87 people had perished. This written answer was given in the Lok Sabha by Science and Technology and Earth Sciences Minister Sujana Chowdary. The sunstroke statistics are as follows: In 2013, 1433 people had died, and of them 1393 people belonged to Andhra Pradesh. In 2014, the figure came down to 549. In 2015, the sunstroke deaths went upto 2135, including 1422 people from Andhra Pradesh and 584 from Teleangana. In all 4,204 people had died of sunstroke in the past 4 years.
