Ashwin suggests last ball bouncer as India wins

The last-ball bouncer did Bangladesh in at Chinaswamy stadium in Bangalore on Holi night. As the Dhoni team got together over the strategy for the last ball, it was Ravichandran Ashwin's idea to bowl a bouncer, considering lower order batsmen generallly not able to tackle bouncers. It was bowled, the ball was missed by Bangla batsman Shuvagata Hom, and Captain Dhoni who collected the ball ran in 15 yards to the wicket to run out the onrushing runner. Bangla Captain Mushrafi Mustafa commented that his team was defeated in the last three balls. Till then they were almost winning. He faulted his team for going for big shots than to take singles and win in the last overs in the T20 game. `It was not our day,' he added. Dhoni said it was staying calm in chaos that had helped his team to win the game. What they did in the endgame was to stay calm, and let the other guy make the mistake, and the Bangla team fell for it. The one-run win keeps India's hopes alive in the World Cup. They next take on Australia, possibly the toughest in the group. New Zealand that won over India and yet to taste defeat is almost set to enter semifinals. For India, it's a must-win game with Australia. The Dhoni team has not been able to make a convincing win so far. The India-Pakistan match came Dhoni's way because of rain and pressure on Pakistan to prove itself. Pakistan chickened out in the event. The India-Australia match will be played in Chandigarh at 7.30 pm on Sunday (March 27).
