US Child Welfare seizes Indian baby after fall at home

An Indian baby boy of 2 months has been separated from his parents following an injury on the ground that the parents had treated the child inhumanly. The US Chid Welfare authorities had seized the baby after the baby got seriously injured in a mishap at its home in New Jersey and treatment at two hospitals there. The baby, Ashvid, got injured when it slipped from the arms of his mother, Vidisha. As the child fell, his head hit the TV stand. The baby was immediately rushed to a hospital by Vidisha and her husband, Asheesh Pareek, of TCS. As the child sustained serious internal injuries, it was taken to another hospital for further treatment. It was at this stage that the US Child Welfare authorities entered the scene. Alleging cruelty to the child, the authorities seized the boy from its parents and shifted him to Child Protection Society. Denied of their child over a domestic mishap, the young parents are weeping to glory over the unwanted intervention of the US Child Welfare authorities. The young parents wrote a letter to the Indian External Affairs Minister, Sushma Swaraj, over the seizure of their child by the US authorities and demanded that it be returned to them immediately. What is inhuman in the episode needs to be determined. The US Child Welfare authorities seizing the baby and denying it of mother's milk is inhuman or child slipping from the hands of a new mother?
