Farmers demand lands in Kakinada SEZ back
Farmers of Ramanakkapeta near Kakinada have demanded restoration of their lands assigned to the Special Economic Zone. Shouting slogans such as `We don't want SEZ' and `We want our lands back,' the farmers made a forcible entry into the SEZ and started uprooting the boundary posts of the zone. The police then entered the scene, but could not control the situation. Additional police forces were sought from Kakinada. Tension has gripped the area following the incident.
