Mayor Anuradha murder: Bandh continues in Chittoor
Hyderabad, Nov 18: In protest against the murder of Chittoor Mayor Katari Anuradha and her husband Katari Mohan, political leaders had been observing a bandh since yesterday in the town. President of Andhra Pradesh Kapu Nadu VP Narayanaswamy gave the bandh call. Meanwhile, there are reports that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu is likely to visit Chittoor in connection with the murder of Anuradha and Mohan. There are also reports that Telugu Desam Party National General Secretary Nara Lokesh is expected to arrive shortly in Chittoor to pay his last respects to the slain Katari couple. Earlier, in view of tense situation, police imposed Section 144 in sensitive areas of Chittoor district after the gruesome murder of Anuradha and Mohan by burka-clad men in corporation office on Tuesday.
