GoAir joins fare war

Hyderabad, Oct 31: With air fare war breaking out, budget carrier GoAir announced fares for Rs 601 (excluding taxes and surcharges) in its new offer, reports said. Bookings for the GoAir offer are open till November 1. The bookings are applicable for travel between November 23 and December 16, 2015. Tickets booked under this scheme are not refundable, according to GoAir sources. Earlier, SpiceJet offered a promotional scheme, called 'Diwali Sale', and sold tickets for Rs 749 base fare (excluding taxes) for domestic routes and from Rs 3,999 (all-inclusive) for international routes. GoAir is the country's fifth biggest carrier and it is planning to go for an initial public offering (IPO) of up to Rs 1,000 crore, sources said.
