Judge: Anuhya case is rarest of the rare, 2,500 witnesses examined

Mumbai, Oct 30: Special Judge Vrushali Joshi termed TCS techie Esther Anuhya case as rarest of the rare. She awarded death penalty to the accused 39-year-old Chandrabhan Sanap for raping and killing the 23-year-old techie. The police examined 2,500 witnesses within a span of 18 months and examined footage of 36 CCTVs at Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT) in the city. The techie boarded the train from Vijayawada to LTT on January 4, 2014 and was expected to arrive in the city next day. As Anuhya did not respond on phone, her father lodged a police complaint.
