SRM varsity sets record; 6,064 job offers to students in a day
Chennai, Oct 15: SRM University in Tamil Nadu has set a new record in campus placements. IT majors Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Wipro, Cognizant and Infosys together offered 6,064 placements for the students of 2016 batch. Most of the private universities in the country have designed syllabus as per the needs of industries. The number of students recruited by various IT companies is as follows: Wipro-1,641, TCS-1,611, Cognizant-1,506 and Infosys-1,306. Incidentally, all these placements were offered in a single day of campus recruitment drive. Wipro's offer of 1,641 placements is its highest in a single institution.
