Glitches mar Flipkart's Big Billion Day

Delhi, October 13: E-commerce major Flipkart has decided to go app-only platform but the decision failed to provide a glitch-free shopping experience to the consumers during the company's Big Billion Day sale that began today. Flipkart consumers vented their ire on social media websites. The website failed to cope up with the heavy traffic and similar to the one experienced by the consumers during the offer the previous year. Many consumers were greeted with “503 service unavailable error”. Flipkart Big Billion Day this year is app-only, which means that one must download the app to avail discounts as a part of the sale. One can browse the website through desktop or laptop but one cannot avail discounts. Snapdeal and Amazon also announced special offers today.
