Bengaluru Techie held for hoax calls, flight delays

Hyderabad, Sept 7: Bengaluru police had arrest a techie after he is said to have made hoax calls to warn airport officials at Bengaluru and Delhi of bombs on international flights. Later, police identified the techie as Gokul, according to a news portal of a television channel. Sources said that Gokul had also WhatsApped airport officials at Bengaluru and Delhi on the 'threat'. According to priliminary police investigations, the techie, made the calls from a phone that was registered in the name of another man. Police said Gokul was allegedly in love with that person's wife. Police sources said, Gokul had confessed to have allegedly killed his wife in July itself. As a result of the false threat alerts, two international flights had ben called back to Delhi. Sources said, a third flight was shifted to an isolation bay for search operations.
