My statement on land acquisition distorted: KE

Hyderabad, Aug 28: Deputy Chief Minister KE Krishnamurthi has blamed a section of media for distorting his statement on land acquisition for capital city. Addressing the media here today, KE said that farmers voluntarily gave 33,000 acres land for capital city. Chandrababu Naidu gave me Deputy CM post to protect the interests of Rayalaseema region, he said. There were no differences between me and Municipal Administration Minister P Narayana. Revenue officials are extending all the help to Narayana, he added. KE reiterated that he would abide by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu's decision on the issue. He urged the Centre to accord special status and special package to the state.
